    Not worth it for personal use
    I'm a NICU nurse and we have one of these on my unit at work. When a baby likes it, it's a lifesaver, and sometimes the only thing some sleep-deprived infants going through drug withdrawal will sleep in. So I registered for one for my daughter and received it at my baby shower. It's very cute (especially with the monsters insert) and a GREAT space saver compared to other swings, and I love that it can be controlled via smart phone. Having said all that, my daughter hates it. It's way too gentle and boring for her. She needs more movement and more stimulation. We had a hard time ever setting her down, and getting her to sleep was a nightmare, and when you finally did get her to sleep it would only last 45 minutes. Fast forward to two months old and I finally caved in and bought a traditional Fisher Price cradle and swing. And she loves it. She will sit quietly in it without crying to be held most times, and even takes two hour naps in it. Knowing what I know now, I wish I'd registered for the standard Fisher Price swing and saved my money purchasing it myself after the fact. Maybe my next child will like the Mamaroo, but seeing at work how different babies either love it or hate it, I'd save my money and go with the more traditional baby swing which I think appeals to almost every baby.

    I could not wait for my baby to be born so I could put him in this! I love all the features from all the different movements to all the sounds to chose from. So easy to put together and so easy to clean when dirty! My son was a preemie and he loves it! In fact at the hospital when I had him every baby in the NIQU had there own mamaroo to use and when I saw that I knew I had made the right decision on a baby swing/seat.

    Clicks, groans, and grinds.
    *UPDATE to my original review* My daughter is now 9 months old, and still enjoys sitting in this on occasion. However, the 25 lbs maximum weight limit is a lie. She weighs less than 15lbs and the seat clicks, groans, and grinds if we put her in it. She is absolutely tiny, the size of an average 3-6 month old, so if you have a good sized baby they won't be able to use this seat for long.*

    My little miss loves the seat most of the time! I do agree with other reviews, the mobile is crap for how much this seat costs. It's too heavy, and doesn't spin on it's own. I also wish I could use the Bluetooth to play music from my phone, so it doesn't have to be plugged into the seat.

    Just "open box"
    Just got it and though it was an "open box" item, I expected it to look not so used. It appears to have highlighter markings on it and is missing one of the stuffed balls that hang over the child and does not appear to have the belt that keeps your child strapped in. Not happy but maybe my fault for assuming open box means used.

    Not worth it
    This swing is super noisy, only swings side to side, and the sound features all sound like static. We're returning it. Expected much more fore the price.

    Our baby like this for a few short naps
    Well made and looks so fancy in our baby nursery. Our baby like this for a few short naps. We found our baby like her fisher price rock and play more though. Given the high price tag, I wouldn’t recommend this over the cheaper fisher price rocker.
